Who are the Troy Band Boosters?
The Troy Band Boosters exist to support the band program for 5th through 8th graders in the Troy 30C school district. We do this through coordinating and facilitating events, organizing volunteers, contributing financially, communicating with band families and working towards distinction in all aspects of the program. Membership is open to all parents or guardians of students who are current members of the Troy Bands, as well as other adults who support the purpose and mission of the Boosters.

Volunteer Expectations
Below is a growing list of descriptions of various volunteer expectations needed throughout the year. If you have any questions or are interested in helping, please contact us at volunteer@troybandboosters.org or talk to a band director for more information.
Chaperones: These individuals help with student management at performances and field trips. Background checks are required. All chaperones must be approved through the school district and are coordinated through the band directors.
Load and Unload the Trailer: Many hands make light work! On days when our students perform in other locations, there are pieces of equipment that need transported in a trailer. Help is needed to load and unload the equipment. This volunteer position requires the ability to lift and bend.
Trailer Pull: There are several times a year our young musicians have the opportunity to perform in other locations and are in need of a trailer to transport equipment. For parades, you will have the unique opportunity to follow the band on the parade route. For concert performances, you will be asked to arrive at TMS in time to load the equipment and head to performance. The trailer is housed at TMS and the coupler size is 2 5/16.
Uniform Helpers: These individuals will help students get ready for formal parades as well as put uniforms away when the parade is over.
