| Mr. Lega has spent his entire working career in the field of music education as a band director. In 1969, Mr. Lega was appointed Director of Bands at Joliet Central High School - only their third director since 1912. The nationally recognized Symphonic Band consistently received accolades for its musical excellence including appearing at the U of I Superstate Band festival an unprecedented 16 straight years. Mr. Lega has received numerous personal awards for his musical efforts, including election into the prestigious American Band Masters Association. In May of 2006, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree from the VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. In 2007, Mr. Lega led the Troy Symphonic Band to First Division ratings at all contests/festivals.The band was named Grand Champion at the ISU Invitational Concert Band Contest and Honor Band at the University of Illinois Superstate Band festival...their second straight appearance at this prestigious event under Mr. Lega. |

| Mr. Goetz has an outstanding background that began with his experience in a nationally recognized high school band in Virginia. He then earned his Bachelor and Master of Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From 2000-2006 Mr. Goetz taught band in Joliet at Washington Jr. High School and elementary schools. His bands have excelled at IGSMA District Contest, earning First Division ratings for the last four years, and State Festival, earning Honors Status for the last three years. He also co-directed the Joliet All City Band which performed at the 2005 Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Conference. Mr. Goetz was a 2005 recipient of the Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator Award and most recently the 2006 IGSMA Outstanding Young Conductor Award as well as being given the Joliet District 86 Star Employee Award. |

| Ms. Carlton's strong background in music began in New Lenox when she decided to play the clarinet in the school band. She was later awarded two scholarships from the music department at the University of Illinois, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Music Education. From 2002-2004 Ms. Carlton acted as Assistant Band Director in a program that provided instruction to students in Catholic Middle Schools located on the south side of Chicago. Since October, 2005, Ms. Carlton has been the Music Teacher at Troy Heritage Trail. There she organized and directed multiple all-school programs and also acted as Choir Director for the school. Ms. Carlton will be teaching groups of beginning band students and assisting with the other bands at Troy. She will also teach 5th grade music at WBO. |
